In keeping with the spirit of giving and the holiday season, we will be participating once again in the annual “holiday food drive” for the DAILY BREAD FOOD BANK.
Beginning on the morning of Friday December 8th, there will be boxes set up across from the 2nd floor kitchen, against the wall, beside the cubicles.
Last year we donated 178lbs and raised $750 in cash – let’s aim to reach 300lbs this year and $1,000 in cash.
What food to donate?
The Daily Bread has asked for the following nutritious, non-perishable food items which are in high demand:
- Canned vegetables (tomatoes, corn, peas, etc.)
- Beans (Lentils, chick peas, kidney beans, etc.)
- Pasta/pasta sauce
- Canned fruit
- 100% fruit juice
- High fiber/low sugar cereal
- Granola bars
- Canned meat in water
- Canned fish (tuna in water)
- Canned soup
- Peanut butter
- Baby food (vegetables and fruit)/ baby cereal/ baby formula
Please drop off your non-perishable food donations by Thursday December 21, 2017.
Let’s join the fight to end hunger in our city and ensure that food continues to go out over the winter months to families struggling with hunger.
It’s a simple way for us to make a BIG difference in the lives of those who have so little!
P.S. While we have committed to donating food, if you would like to donate money in addition to your food donation, please click here to view the company page for Colliers International Group Inc. & FirstService Corp.:
