First Onsite BC recently concluded its inaugural fundraising campaign supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Initiatives included a successful bowling fundraiser and active participation in the Light The Night Walk. These efforts were dedicated to Todd Yuen, a valued colleague and friend who has been facing leukemia since 2023.
The team surpassed its original goal of $20,000, raising nearly $24,000 to date. Donations continue to be accepted at https://secure.llscanada.org/site/TR/LTN/BCYukon?team_id=19999&pg=team&fr_id=1705.
Blood cancer patients often depend on blood and stem cell transfusions as part of their treatment. For those interested in making a donation, please visit: https://www.blood.ca/en.
The campaign also received recognition from local media, with coverage featured in Maple Ridge News and on Global News BC1. Further information can be found at: https://mapleridgenews.com/2025/10/24/local-business-rallies-behind-maple-ridge-father-battling-leukemia/.
“This experience has been incredible in bringing us together for a very meaningful cause and aligning our two organizations in making a real difference in people’s lives, every single day,” said Regional Operations Manager, BC and event organizer, Andrew Platt. “I hope we can continue to expand on our social purpose and demonstrate that we remain committed to restoring people’s lives in everything we do as a team.”
