The FirstService Relief Fund was established to provide immediate financial assistance to employees experiencing unforeseen emergencies, such as medical crises, natural disasters, or other personal hardships. We know hardships can happen to any of us, at any time and each grant offers more than just financial aid—it is a testament to the compassion and generosity of our team members.
From helping a team member rebuild after a house fire to supporting families through serious illnesses, these grants have enabled recipients to focus on recovery and well-being without the added stress of financial uncertainty.

How the Fund Works

The FirstService Relief Fund is made possible through generous contributions from our employees. FirstService covers all administrative costs and fees ensuring every dollar donated goes to help a colleague in need. Eligible employees may apply for grants ranging from $500-$3000 to help them during times of financial hardship. The most common reasons people apply for help are serious illness/injury, non-routine medical and death. The confidential application process is straightforward, and 24/7 support is available for those needing assistance completing theirs. Employees must apply within 180 days of their “qualified event” and they may receive up to two grants within a 12-month period.
