In Memoriam: Rich Wilson

We are heartbroken by the loss of our colleague and friend, Rich Wilson. Rich first came to FirstService as a college student just trying to cover tuition, taking a part‑time job with College Pro Painters. What started as a simple way to earn some money grew into a remarkable journey that spanned decades.

After graduating, Rich joined College Pro full‑time and quickly stood out for his natural ability to guide, support, and bring people together. Those strengths carried him through an impressive career, including leadership roles at CertaPro and, most recently, serving as CEO of Paul Davis Restoration.

Scott Patterson, CEO of FirstService Corporation, shared, “Rich was a deeply respected partner, leader, and friend at FirstService for more than three decades. His greatest legacy was shaped during his final ten years as CEO of Paul Davis, where he inspired alignment, trust, and pride across the organization. The momentum, success and values-driven culture at Paul Davis today is a reflection of Rich’s Vision and leadership over the last decade.”

Rich cared deeply about our mission to #FirstServeOthers. He led with humility and heart, championed community initiatives, and encouraged countless people to get involved—especially in supporting the American Red Cross and the FirstService Relief Fund.

His absence is felt profoundly across our organization, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him.

For anyone wishing to honor Rich’s memory, his family has asked that donations be made to The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257, or online at thefoundationcares.org/give.
