Who says you have to wait until December to spread a little holiday cheer?
As part of Summer of Service, FirstService teams across the Toronto area came together for a Christmas in July Toy Drive supporting CHUM Christmas Wish, a program that helps more than 300 charities across Canada bring holiday joy to children and families in need.
The FirstService Residential North Region Office joined forces with colleagues from FirstService Corporation and California Closets to collect new, unwrapped toys, with a special emphasis on gifts for babies and teens—age groups that can be especially challenging for holiday programs to support.
Event organizer Temo Primrose Gare was interviewed by CP24 and had the opportunity to share details of this successful event. The interview can be found below.
The Christmas in July drive is a great example of the spirit behind Summer of Service: finding opportunities to #FirstServeOthers, bringing people together and turning generosity into meaningful impact—whatever the season.
