As shared by Director of Operations B.C., Todd Savage,
“Supporting a friend and colleague during their battle with leukemia has been both insightful and inspiring. This disease affects people of all ages and backgrounds, and witnessing the courage of those impacted, as well as the incredible work being done by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, has truly moved me. It is a cause that everyone can feel good about supporting, as it aims to help people regain their strength during difficult times and to ultimately find a cure.’’
In Canada, 155,593 people are living with or in remission from one of 137 blood cancer types. In the U.S., someone is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma every three minutes, with an estimated 187,740 new cases last year.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is the country’s largest blood cancer charity, supporting patients through research funding, resources, advocacy, and practical assistance. In 2024, LLSC invested $5.1 million in 66 Canadian researchers.
