Supporting Our Community Through Food Drive Initiatives

Food drives are a powerful way to make a meaningful difference in our communities. Recently, Planned Companies organized a food drive and volunteered at the InterFaith Food Pantry (IFP), marking the company’s second consecutive year partnering with this impactful organization. The experience was deeply rewarding, as the team joined IFP’s ongoing efforts to provide essential resources to those in need.

IFP’s mission goes beyond food donations. The pantry supplies groceries to community members and offers nutritional education programs, including on-site cooking classes led by professional chefs. These initiatives empower individuals and families with the knowledge and skills to prepare healthy meals, fostering long-term well-being. Planned Companies is proud to contribute to IFP’s mission, helping ensure that no one in our community goes hungry, and the team looks forward to continuing this partnership and expanding the efforts to fight food insecurity.

The Audubon Corporate team at CertaPro recently donated 217 pounds of food to the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry in Collegeville as part of the company’s 2025 Thanksgiving Food Drive. Special thanks to Ralph DiDomenico for handling the drop-off!

The need for community support of local food banks and pantries is greater than ever. Many residents who previously relied on benefits like SNAP have lost access, making emergency food distributions a lifeline for countless families.

How to Locate Food Pantries in Your Area

If you or someone you know needs food assistance, there are several ways to find local food pantries and meal programs:

  • Online Search Tools:
    • Visit Feeding America’s Food Bank Locator to enter your ZIP code and find nearby food banks and pantries. This network connects you with groceries, meals, and holiday food support in your community.
    • Use FoodPantries.org to search for food pantries, soup kitchens, and food banks nationwide. The site lists over 16,000 locations and provides details on hours and services.
    • FindHelp.org allows you to search for food pantries and other social services by ZIP code, making it easy to connect with support in your neighborhood.
  • Ask Locally:
    • Reach out to local government offices, schools, or social service agencies for referrals to food assistance programs.
    • Many pantries and meal programs are promoted through community bulletin boards, social media, and local news outlets.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference, one meal, one family, and one community at a time. If you’re able, consider volunteering or donating to support these vital organizations. If you need help, don’t hesitate to reach out. Resources are available to ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
