Helping Your Friends and Colleagues Through Life’s Challenging Events

Financial hardships can affect any of us at any time. That’s why we established the FirstService Relief Fund in 2018.  In 2018, we awarded 29 grants. Last year that number jumped to 418! Through the generosity of our FirstService Relief Fund donors, we have been able to help nearly 1,700 team members since the program’s launch.

A recent FirstService Relief Fund grant recipient, who received money to help with his father’s funeral expenses, had this to share, “This grant made such a huge difference in my life, and it helped my family a lot. We didn’t know where the money would come from, all we knew was that we needed to bury my dad. I am so grateful that I was approved for this grant. I encourage anyone facing hardship to apply and provide whatever is requested to process it. My family is forever grateful for FirstOnSite. Thank you again.”

Another recent grant recipient needed help with expenses incurred during a basement flooding.

“I would like to say thank you. I’ve never seen so much water coming out of the wall. My first reaction was to try to stop it. But in the end the damage was done, and I will be moving as a result of the water.”

The FirstService Relief Fund provides grants to those who have experienced any number of qualifying events. These include the death of an immediate family member, a serious injury/illness, impacts to their residence as a result of a natural disaster, domestic violence, and more.
