Playing Poker for a Cause

Now that life is returning to a more normal cadence, many of our teams have had the opportunity to join together at Brand conferences. In addition to providing valuable educational experiences and peer networking opportunities, these events also provide a great forum to bring teams together around a common cause in support of Social Purpose.

Charlie Chase accepts Floor Coverings International’s donation to the FirstService Relief Fund at the company’s annual conference

Recently, Floor Coverings International and CertaPro Painters held fundraising poker tournaments during their annual conferences to benefit the FirstService Relief Fund.

Floor Coverings International Operations Director Jackie Adams coordinated the company’s January tournament. The event more than doubled the team’s internal goal of $10,000 by raising $21,000 for the Relief Fund!

During CertaPro Painter’s recent conference, the Jason Duke Memorial Poker Tournament was held to honor the memory and legacy of Jason Duke, a Canadian franchise owner who passed away in April, 2021. This event raised $7,472.

A St. Patrick’s Day poker tournament has become a tradition at Planned Companies. This popular event has raised nearly $2,000 for the FirstService Relief Fund!
