Spotlight on Council for Relationships: Supporting Mental Health with the Miles for Mental Health 5K Run

For over 90 years, the Council for Relationships (CFR) has been a trusted resource for individuals, couples, and families seeking to improve their emotional health. With a mission to help people from all walks of life, CFR provides therapy, education, and training to address life’s challenges and foster meaningful relationships.

CFR operates with a focus on accessibility, offering a sliding scale fee structure to ensure that mental health care is available to those who need it most. Their team of over 70 highly trained clinicians specializes in areas such as grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics.

In addition to therapy services, CFR is committed to education, training the next generation of therapists through its renowned clinical programs. Their outreach extends into the community, offering workshops, support groups, and programs designed to promote resilience and connection.

Whether you’re seeking counseling, exploring professional training, or looking to support their mission, the Council for Relationships is dedicated to fostering a healthier, more connected community.

If you are in the Philadelphia area, mark your calendar for April 27,when CertaPro Painters and CFR join forces to host their annual Miles for Mental Health 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk. This event supports CFR’s Operation Home and Healing, a program providing counseling for active-duty service members, members of the National Guard and Reserves, and veterans of all eras and their spouses.

Specially trained therapists at CFR work closely with service members, veterans, and their families to address and heal the invisible wounds impacting their individual, couple, and family relationships. The goal is to help them build stronger partnerships, improve parenting, and foster healthier family dynamics.

CFR’s Operation Healing Heroes (OHH) program is guided by an advisory board of military psychology experts, including CFR’s Lead Military Consultant, Will Barnes, D.Min, MFT, CH, COL, Ret.
