Adapting and Thriving in a Virtual World

The COVID-19 pandemic created unique challenges for many businesses reliant on customer interactions. How to continue operations, while emphasizing employee and customer safety?

California Closets offers customers a safe alternative to in-home design services. Utilizing audio and visual technology, the company collaborates with customers remotely to design the space of their dreams. After understanding what the customer’s needs and budget are, the designers are able to quickly deliver a 3D CAD rendering of the customer’s design. While the company is most closely associated with closets, it has seen an increased demand for home office spaces with so many people working remotely.

The company installs the product using its “White Glove” service. In addition to protecting walls and floors, installers thoroughly wash their hands, use hand sanitizer and follow safe-distancing protocols. While in the customer’s home, they will work alone in the space to install the system without ever coming into physical contact with anyone else on site. Communication is handled via phone and text, and all surfaces are wiped down and disinfected by the team before they leave the customer’s home, ensuring a pristine environment.

Planned Companies  brings experts together through popular virtual Town Hall series

At the start of the pandemic, Planned Companies launched a 12-week virtual Town Hall series, providing educational information on a wide range of COVID-19 topics. As we head into summer, Planned is taking a new spin on their virtual Town Halls, bringing the best-of-the-best in real estate service providers to serve as panelists in a bi-weekly Wednesday virtual series titled “You Have the Building, We Have the Solutions.” The series debuted on July 1st at 12 pm ET as a “podcast-style” virtual event allowing all attendees to join via video and ask questions on any subject to the expert panel. The Planned team expects the new series to keep delivering the solutions property managers and building owners are looking for, now and post COVID-19.
