FirstService Corporation Toronto Team Steps Up in the Fight Against Alzheimer’s at IG Wealth Management Walk

On a picture perfect Saturday in late May, the Toronto team of FirstService Corporation came together to participate in multiple IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s events across the metropolitan area. Leading the charge was Alex Nguyen, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development, who spearheaded the FirstService team’s efforts, ultimately raising over $2,000 to support crucial Alzheimer’s research.

Senior Vice President, Tax, Patrick Tran participated in one of the walks and shared, “We had approximately 20 participants come out for the Thornbury chapter of the Walk For Alzheimer’s. It was beautiful morning for a walk along the southern shores of Georgian Bay where I heard moving stories from those impacted by this terrible disease.”

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for colleagues, friends, and families to come together in the battle against dementia, which is currently the fastest growing healthcare concern of our era. With an increasing number of individuals affected by this condition, there is a growing demand for Alzheimer Society programs and services. These vital services have the potential to make a profound difference in the lives of those affected, enabling them to effectively manage the disease and embrace life to the fullest extent possible.
