Nami Walks

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and as they do every year, your colleagues at The Amenity Collective and LIVunLtd are supporting the important work of NAMI. NAMI, is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an organization that works to raise awareness about mental health. Their mission is to fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for policies that support the millions of people in the U.S. affected by mental illness.

If you are going to be in the NYC area on May 20, please consider joining LIVUnLtd’s walking team. More details can be found here: https://firstservice.volunteerhub.com/vv2/event/cd180dac-5a49-4a21-82e9-b33b5ad8b17b

Pride month

June is Pride Month

June is a month of celebration and inclusivity as we recognize Pride Month. It’s a time to show support for the LGBTQ+ community and honor the progress made towards equality. If you’re looking for ways to make a difference, why not join one of our teams in participating in walks to raise funds and awareness for The Trevor Project? This amazing organization provides vital information and support to LGBTQ+ youth 24/7. They have counselors available via phone, text, or chat to offer a listening ear to those who may be struggling with feelings of loneliness or suicide.

But why stop there? You can also take action and form your own walk with a group of friends or colleagues! The Trevor Project makes it easy for community members to fundraise by providing a user-friendly platform to accept donations. All you have to do is select a date and location that works for you, follow a few simple steps to set up your fundraising page, and you’re ready to make a positive impact. So let’s come together and show our support for the LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month!

Volunteers needed for the Child Cancer Fund Care-a-Thon

For those of you who prefer a climate controlled option, our friends at Paul Davis are participating in this year’s Care-a-Thon in Jacksonville, FL on July 7 to support the Child Cancer Fund. The Child Cancer Fund Care-a-Thon is an annual event which raises much needed money for the Child Cancer Fund. It’s heartbreaking to know that over 100 children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are diagnosed with pediatric cancer each year. The toll that this diagnosis takes on a child and their family is immense, and it’s inspiring to see local organizations like the Child Cancer Fund step in to provide support. The local organization was started 29 years ago by parents of children diagnosed with cancer. Since then, their programs and services have evolved to meet the needs of families in our community. Programs and services include practical, emotional, educational, and financial support for families every step of the way.
