Planned Companies Continues Support for Grow It Green Farm

Planned Companies’ Northeast team recently extended their commitment to community service by volunteering at the Grow It Green Farm in Morristown, NJ, marking the second consecutive year of partnership with the organization. Grow It Green is renowned for spearheading New Jersey’s largest public-school garden initiative, fostering farm-based education, and nurturing community engagement in Morristown.

The team enthusiastically engaged in various tasks during their volunteer day, including prepping beds, planting, weeding, and conducting light repair work. But, it wasn’t just about the work; camaraderie, fun and teambuilding helped make the experience even more special.

In a demonstration of ongoing support, Planned Companies announced a donation of $2,000 to Grow It Green Farm. This contribution aims to further the organization’s mission of expanding access to the farm, providing fresh produce to the community, and supporting educational initiatives within the Morristown school system.

Through these actions, Planned Companies shows its dedication to making a positive impact in the local community, emphasizing teamwork and sustainability to improve people’s lives.

“Grow It Green is a popular Social Purpose activity at Planned. Our team members enjoy the hands-on work and share a genuine passion for supporting Grow It Green’s mission of providing the community with fresh, nutritious food. Making a positive impact while enjoying the process is a definite win-win for us,” said Catherine Bruno, vice president of human resources.
