Summer of Service Recap

As we wrap up our second “Summer of Service,” we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our team members who embraced our call to dedicate themselves to just one act of service this summer. Your stories and event photos warmed our hearts, and your enthusiasm and creative engagement in completing your Random Acts of Kindness Bingo cards truly inspired us.

Our Volunteer Hub calendar proved to be an invaluable tool for promoting activities, raising awareness about causes dear to our hearts, and tracking interest and participation in events. Over the summer, a total of 253 team members signed up for events on the calendar. The Volunteer Hub event calendar is a useful tool for you to use year round to promote your activities and events.

This year, two events garnered the highest levels of participation: “Daylight Hour,” an annual event coinciding with the Summer Solstice in June, and “Blood Donation.” Donating blood is a simple yet impactful act that can be undertaken by anyone across North America. Just 30 minutes of your time could save a life!

A special shoutout goes to the South Florida FirstService Residential Dania Beach and South Region teams, who led the way this summer with numerous well-attended events. These included participation in events including Feeding South Florida Food Sorting Shift, Children’s Harbor Clean Up, beach cleanups on Fort Lauderdale Beach, and a volunteer day at the Humane Society of Broward County.

The Planned Companies team members showcased their commitment to making our planet greener, healthier, and happier through their inaugural company-wide recycling challenge.

If you have a Summer of Service story or photos you’d like to share, please don’t hesitate to do so. Your contributions help us celebrate the collective impact we’ve made together.

Let’s keep the momentum going, and continue to find ways to serve our communities and perform random acts of kindness.
