Summer of Service 2026: What a Summer!

What happens when FirstService team members turn their goodwill into action? This summer, we saw the answer.

Throughout Summer of Service 2026, team members across our companies volunteered their time, supported local nonprofits, organized donation drives, raised funds, helped neighbors and found everyday ways to make a difference. Together, we published 115 stories of service, each highlighting the causes our people care about and the many ways they are strengthening their communities.

From large team initiatives to individual acts of kindness, every effort contributed to something bigger — and every story shared had the potential to inspire someone else to get involved.

Celebrating Our Summer of Service Leaders

The First Onsite Canada National Social Purpose Committee topped the participant leaderboard with 250 points, followed by Century Fire’s Stephanie Mercedes with 170 points.

Companies also rallied their teams throughout the summer. Our top three companies by points were:

  • First Onsite Canada — 450 points
  • California Closets — 420 points
  • FirstService Residential — 380 points

Congratulations to our leaders and thank you to everyone who participated. Whether you volunteered for an afternoon, organized a team event, supported a cause close to your heart or simply found a way to help someone in your community, you helped make Summer of Service a success.

115 Stories — and Plenty More to Tell

Perhaps the best measure of Summer of Service isn’t the points earned, but the stories behind them. Those 115 stories show that making a difference can take many forms — and that everyone has something to contribute.

While Summer of Service has come to an end, our commitment to serving others hasn’t. Keep volunteering, keep looking for opportunities to help and keep sharing what you’re doing. Your story could be the spark that inspires someone else to take action.
