KC Pet Project will receive a donation of $2,290.32 (50% of funds raised minus fees)
Adopted at event at Petco in California.
I love that he loves me so much. He trusts me. He is like my shadow. He loves to cuddle. And he is very talkative! He is the best company I could ask for.
KC Pet Project. I follow them on TikTok and they do such wonderful and amazing work. They have more animals than they can care for and really need the support of the community to help these babies.
I have been with FirstService for five and a half years. I am an onsite manager for a high-rise condo building in Kansas City, Missouri. We have a great group of people that work at our Branch with wonderful leadership, training and support.

Muttville Senior Dog Rescue will receive a donation of $1,374.19 (30% of funds raised minus fees)
In September of 2007, a friend found Freeway as a puppy running down the middle of Highway 580 in Richmond CA. My friend, who could not have a dog, suggested that I come over and meet the pup. I hesitated, because at the time I was traveling a lot and did not want the responsibility of a dog. Of course, I immediately fell in love and thus began a 17-year journey with my boy. He was my “soul dog” from day one.
Freeway had a beautiful spirit. We were very connected, and I miss him each and every day. He taught me so much about love and loyalty in the 17 years I was his guardian. My favorite part about him was the way he would look at me. I absolutely felt the love emanating from him with a single glance.
I chose Muttville because they are a senior dog rescue organization. Unfortunately, there are so many senior dogs dropped off at shelters either because people don’t want to pay for needed medical care, or because senior dogs require more effort and care, or in some cases, because their owners have passed away. These little souls are scared and confused and in the sunset of their lives. Muttville is an incredible organization that gives them all an opportunity to live out the end of their lives in a loving, caring environment.
I have been with California Closets for almost 6 years. I love this company because the people here truly care. It is like a family, and I feel very supported and appreciated. I have found my home here. This contest is a great example of how caring the entire organization is and I am grateful to have the opportunity to work here!

Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest will receive a donation of $916.12 (20% of funds raised minus fees)
February 2024, from a small town outside of Green Bay, WI. She’s a Vikings fan now.
She is so affectionate; sometimes, she just wants to sit and hold hands. Well, I hold her paw.
Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest. I chose this charity to help other goldens in our community who need rescue and help to find their forever homes. Goldens are great family pets and can bring so much joy to a home.
I’ve been with California Closets for almost 20 years and love every minute of it. I’m fortunate to work for an organization that provides career growth and development opportunities and adheres to high ethical standards in business operations.
