FirstService Residential: Support Las Vegas and Reno Schools During our School Supply Drive

Each year we select school(s) in NV to assist by collecting basic school supplies to be provided to the teachers and students who are in need. In 2018 we raised $31K in school supplies which was enough to aid 4 schools. Our 2019 goal is to assist 6 schools, approx. $36K in school supplies.

FirstService Residential: Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day Nevada

Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day is a national day that gives children in the United States a glimpse into the working world. Developed by the Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Foundation, a non-profit educational organization, the day revolves around parents taking their children to work to expose students to future job possibilities and the value of education. It is the successor to Take Our Daughters To Work Day, which was expanded to include boys in 2003. In the U.S., it occurs on the fourth Thursday in April and onward every year.

Century Fire Protection: Clay Shoot to benefit Diapers to Diplomas

This will be our first annual charity Clay Shoot to benefit Diapers to Diplomas. All proceeds will be donated to support our Diapers to Diplomas program supporting orphans. We strongly believe that with success comes the responsibility to help others. In our minds, there is no better cause than helping a child find a loving and stable environment.

FirstService Corporation: FoodShare Toronto ~ An Edible Education

FirstService Corporation employees will be spending the morning on the east side of Toronto harvesting, watering and weeding a large school vegetable garden. The program is organized by FoodShare Toronto (https://foodshare.net/), a not-for-profit that works with schools and communities to deliver healthy food and food education. We will be out in the garden rain or shine – if the forecast is for rain please dress accordingly. To provide you with some more context, here is a Toronto Star article profiling the garden: https://www.thestar.com/life/food_wine/2010/11/03/an_edible_education.html We would also like to request a small donation (~$10 per person) to support FoodShare’s continuing efforts throughout the city. This event is a FirstService Corporation employee event, however, we will look for opportunities to expand it in the future. If you are interested in learning more about this type of opportunity so that you can organize an event for yourself or your office, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
