Relief Fund Continues to Make a Difference for Team Members in Need

Because of the generosity of our employees, the FirstService Relief Fund continues to provide hope when it’s needed most. In the first half of 2026 alone, the Fund helped 78 team members facing unexpected financial hardship, demonstrating the incredible impact we can make when we come together to care for our own.

The Fund’s impact continues to grow. Since its launch in 2018, it has awarded 2,769 grants totaling more than $2.28 million, providing financial assistance to employees facing serious illness, natural disasters, the loss of a loved one, damage to their primary residence, and other unforeseen hardships. This year alone, employees have contributed $163,241, helping ensure the Fund remains available for those who need it most.

One of the most encouraging trends this year is the increase in payroll giving. Payroll participation has grown to 5.6%, up from 3.9% during the same period last year, reflecting a growing commitment to caring for one another. Special recognition goes to Floor Coverings for achieving 100% payroll participation, Paul Davis Restoration for increasing participation to 47.7%, and California Closets, Roofing Corp of America, and The Amenity Collective for all increasing participation rates.

Behind every grant is a colleague whose burden has been lightened during a difficult season. Recent recipients shared how Relief Fund assistance helped offset unexpected medical expenses, recover after devastating home damage, and begin rebuilding their lives following financial hardship. Their stories are a powerful reminder that together, we are more than coworkers—we are a community that takes care of one another.

Every payroll donation, no matter the amount, helps ensure that when a teammate faces the unexpected, help is only an application away. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the FirstService Relief Fund and help us live our commitment to #FirstServeOthers.
