The Century Fire office in Birmingham is a small office with 17 employees. On Saturday, June 11, a group of 14 of us, including spouses and children, joined the City of Birmingham’s trash clean up. We collected 34 bags of trash and filled the bed of a pickup truck with discarded items including TVs, bookshelves and tires. Because we love competition, we offered a $50 gift card to whoever collected the most trash. We were excited to see Austin Wulf, the 7-year-old son of our Foreman Eric Wolf win the gift card. The Birmingham City Council was so grateful for our support they asked that we return again in September. We are also planning a river clean up at the end of July or early August. This was a great event, our team enjoyed the camaraderie and we were all happy to give back and looking forward to doing it again!
