Paul Davis Brings CPR/AED/First Aid Training to its Team

On August 29th, Paul Davis took a hands-on approach to keep its team safe and sound by organizing a 4-hour CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator) and First Aid training session. The team enlisted the help of First Coast CPR who came to the International Training Center to make the class available to 18 attendees.

Dive into the Details

The inclusive training covered CPR and AED for adults and children. A highlight of the training was the first aid portion. Instead of boring lectures, team members got to act out medical emergencies. From everyday issues like allergies and concussions to more intense scenarios like heart attacks, strokes, and seizures, they covered it all. They also learned how to manage life-threatening situations involving heavy bleeding, using techniques like direct pressure, digital pressure, wound packing, and even tourniquets. Props like lifelike severed limbs made it all hit home.

Two Years of Certification

At the end of the day, everyone walked away with a certification that’s good for two years. It’s Paul Davis’ way of ensuring that they’re always ready to handle emergencies like pros.

An Annual Tradition

Because safety isn’t a one-time thing, this training is an annual event. It’s a chance for newbies to jump in and for those who missed out before to catch up. At the end of the day, it’s about keeping our team sharp and ready to tackle any situation.

The event was organized by Chief of Staff Stephanie Rosenstone, who shared, “Our commitment to safety doesn’t stop at the office door. Events like these show how much we care about our team’s well-being, and we can’t wait for next year’s training session to keep building our skills and confidence in handling emergencies.”
