Mission

Light The Night is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s signature fundraising campaign, bringing communities together to support people affected by blood cancers. Funds raised help advance lifesaving research, expand access to treatments and provide patients and families with information, education and support throughout their cancer journey. Through Light The Night, participants honor survivors, remember loved ones lost and help bring hope to those currently facing leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers.

“Supporting the fight against blood cancer is very near and dear to my heart. Watching a friend and colleague face leukemia with such incredible strength and positivity inspired us to ask what we could do to help. Being able to come together as a team and community, raise funds and give back to a cause that impacts so many people has been one of the most meaningful and heartwarming experiences I’ve been part of. For my colleagues and me, getting involved means more than raising funds. It’s about showing up, bringing people together and finding meaningful ways to support the blood cancer community. Whether we’re hosting a Family Farm Day for families to enjoy or lending a hand at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada’s Battle for Blood Cancer hockey tournament, each experience gives us another opportunity to raise awareness, connect with others and contribute to a cause that means so much to us.”

Funds raised support groundbreaking research, help patients access treatment and resources, and provide critical education and support to families navigating a diagnosis. By giving, donors help accelerate progress toward better treatments—and ultimately, a future without blood cancer.

Volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of Light The Night—welcoming guests, setting up the celebration space, guiding participants along the walk route and helping create an unforgettable evening of hope, remembrance and community.

Engagement Opportunity

Volunteering at Light The Night is a great team building activity. Friends, family members, and co-workers are encouraged to volunteer together, making it a great opportunity to support an important cause while sharing the experience with others.
