First Onsite Steps into Sustainability

First Onsite combined two of its team’s passions for a unique challenge called Step into Sustainability. The concept was simple: encourage team members to log as many steps as possible during April and complete sustainability challenges along the way. These challenges included:

  • Picking up a grocery bag of litter
  • Planting native seeds or plants
  • Carrying reusable shopping bags to the store
  • Using reusable beverage containers
  • Donating old or unworn clothing or goods
  • Switching to sustainable items (e.g., fair trade organic coffee)
  • Taking public transportation or carpooling

More than 300 team members across 33 teams participated in this virtual race.

The Corporate Strategy team logged over 267 miles EACH DAY during the challenge.

The Top Individual Stepper was Evelyn Moore, an HR payroll manager from Fort Worth, who logged an astounding 1,123,619 steps, earning her a trophy and a $300 gift card.

Kudos also to Eden Arthur, an admin assistant from Edmonton, named the Sustainability Champion for her commitment to making our Earth more sustainable. Eden received a $300 gift card for her efforts.

A special thank you to the dedicated professionals of TEAM RISE – Our Planet for organizing this fantastic team-building activity. This event perfectly reflects our core values of accountability, fun, and setting a new standard for sustainable decision-making.
