About The Relief Fund

No matter who you are, where you live, or what you do, things happen and life changes. We all may find ourselves in need of a little help from time to time, especially after an unforeseen hardship or circumstance. The FirstService Relief Fund was created to do just that for our people – give them a little help.

Relying on support from FirstService companies and individual donations, the Relief Fund awards monetary grants (not loans!) to FirstService team members in the U.S. and Canada when they need it most.

Help When You Need It

We know how unpredictable life can be. That’s why caring for our own has been, and will always be, top priority with FirstService companies, subsidiaries and their franchises.

If you are experiencing a personal hardship or the effects of a qualified disaster, you may be eligible for a tax-free grant – not loan – that provides financial assistance without repayment. For more information on qualifying and applying for a Relief Fund grant:

Donate Today!

The Relief Fund relies primarily on individual donations from FirstService family members and/or the general public. You can make donations – at any time, in any amount – through payroll deduction, credit card, or bank transfer.

All donations to the Relief Fund are made through the Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc. – the nonprofit administrator of the Relief Fund that is registered as a charitable organization in the U.S. and Canada. Donations are tax deductible in the U.S.  and eligible for tax credits in Canada.

Since the Relief Fund’s inception, more than $1 million has been collected in employee donations and disbursed through almost 2,000 grants to members of the FirstService family in need.
