Every act of service has the power to make a difference—and sometimes that impact reaches someone close to home. Meet July’s Summer of Service drawing winner, Donna Seelman, whose $500 charity donation is helping support a colleague’s courageous battle with leukemia through First Onsite Canada’s Light The Night campaign.
Summer of Service is in full swing, and we’re inspired every day by the
incredible ways our team members are giving back. From volunteering and
supporting local nonprofits to simple acts of kindness that brighten someone’s
day, your stories are making a real difference.
Because of the generosity of our employees, the FirstService Relief Fund
continues to provide hope when it’s needed most. In the first half of 2026
alone, the Fund helped 78 team members facing unexpected financial
hardship, demonstrating the incredible impact we can make when we come
together to care for our own.
Rotary has long been recognized around the world for its commitment to
service above self, bringing together community leaders who are dedicated to making a positive impact locally and globally. While Rotary’s service projects,
humanitarian efforts, and community partnerships are well known, one of its
most important investments is in the development of young people.
As part of their Summer of Service initiative, 20 FirstService Residential
New York associates spent a meaningful morning volunteering with
Services for the Underserved (S:US), helping prepare newly renovated
permanent housing for families transitioning out of the New York City
shelter system.

Rachel’s Gift, Pockets of Light, and the Griffin Cares Foundation are bringing

can all support those experiencing unimaginable loss.
At each stop on this year’s Vertical Summit tour in the East Region,
something special happened. Beyond the presentations, networking, and
learning sessions, associates came together for a shared purpose—to
make life a little easier for someone going through an incredibly difficult time.
