Our commitment to #FirstServeOthers is in full force this summer. In this issue we will recap some of the Summer of Service activities our teams’ have been enjoying and share some special awards Century Fire and FirstService Residential have given out this summer. We also highlight California Closets’ commitment to emergency preparation and recap CertaPro’s successful 5K for veterans mental health.

June 2024 Spotlight

Summer of Service is upon us, and longer days mean more time to give back. Wherever your passion lies, you can be certain there is a way to channel your time and energy into making a difference in your community. In this issue of Spotlight, we provide a peek at what your colleagues at TLS and FirstService Residential have planned so far, and also give you ideas of how to find sustainability and sports-related volunteer opportunities in your area. We also have lots of ideas to get your kids involved too!

May 2024 Spotlight

In this edition of Spotlight, we offer a glimpse into our upcoming third Summer of Service. We showcase the incredible outcomes that arise when our teams unite for Social Purpose initiatives. Additionally, we commemorate FirstService Residential’s recent achievement of earning its second Great Place To Work® certification. Plus, we provide essential details about our FirstService Relief Fund and how you can make a difference by supporting your colleagues in times of need.

April 2024 Spotlight

In this issue of Spotlight, we showcase team members’ impactful work in promoting fire safety, mental health services, and support for expectant families. We also applaud the outstanding community service efforts of two California Closets’ teams and share a colleague’s personal journey with the FirstService Relief Fund after a cancer diagnosis. Finally, we preview upcoming initiatives from our Working Groups and the upcoming Summer of Service!

2024 presents many new opportunities for you to join our mission to #FirstServeOthers, and reap the many benefits volunteerism provides. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our 2023 Summer of Service. Between our volunteer activities, advocating for issues and causes that matter to us and the random acts of kindness performed every day, we impacted individuals and communities across North America. In this issue of Spotlight, we share highlights of recent events supporting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and foster families and orphans, recap our Summer of Service and celebrate an important milestone achieved by Floor Coverings International. Also, we share details on ways you can help shelter dogs during October Adopt a Shelter Dog Month!

This month’s edition of the Spotlight is all about giving back and making a positive impact in our communities. As we gear up for the second annual Summer of Service, there are plenty of exciting activities planned to help spread kindness and make a difference. One of the new features is Random Acts of Kindness Bingo, which adds an element of fun, and interactivity and is great for families too!
