February 2024 Spotlight

2024 presents many new opportunities for you to join our mission to #FirstServeOthers, and reap the many benefits volunteerism provides. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our 2023 Summer of Service. Between our volunteer activities, advocating for issues and causes that matter to us and the random acts of kindness performed every day, we impacted individuals and communities across North America. In this issue of Spotlight, we share highlights of recent events supporting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and foster families and orphans, recap our Summer of Service and celebrate an important milestone achieved by Floor Coverings International. Also, we share details on ways you can help shelter dogs during October Adopt a Shelter Dog Month!

This month’s edition of the Spotlight is all about giving back and making a positive impact in our communities. As we gear up for the second annual Summer of Service, there are plenty of exciting activities planned to help spread kindness and make a difference. One of the new features is Random Acts of Kindness Bingo, which adds an element of fun, and interactivity and is great for families too!

This year marks our sixth year of Social Purpose. In that time we have accomplished so much to support of our people, our community and our environment. As the temperatures rose during the dog days of summer, so too did the generous acts of service from team members across the spectrum of the FirstService family of brands. With one month left in our Summer of Service, there’s still plenty of time to heat things up and get out and do something that makes a positive impact on the people in our lives, those who need our help, and in the places where we live, work and play.
